MUSICAL NOTES FROM OUR
David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers to sing youful songs, accompanied by musical instruments, harps and cymbals. 1 Chronicles 15:16 Prayerfully consider becoming a member of one of the St. Paul's choirs this year. By participating in the Music Ministry, you will discover and nurture one of God's greatest gifts. No matter what your experience or ability, the Lord invites you to join in praising Him. Come and share this unique and awesome opportunity for spiritual growth and Christian fellowship.Even if you can't commit to each week or have limited experience in choirs, we invite you to join us. Neither prior experience or ability to read music are required - all we ask is a willingness to serve the Lord in song. Another note of interest! With society being what it is, the pressures on people seem to increase constantly. Yet, many people have not discovered the comfort to be found in music, and the joy in participating rather than observing. Did you know that many studies have shown music lowers blood pressure and helps to relax people? The choir experience becomes an instant support group of loving people brought together to praise and worship God. It's not about giving or sacrificing: it's about receiving! Music is a gift from God. Joining a choir is a gift from God you give yourself. My prayer for the congregation this year, and every year, is that each of you will find joy and comfort in this beautiful expression of God's love, whether participating in a choir or sitting in a pew. If you serve in other areas of ministry, please remember those involved in the Music Ministry. We can support each other through prayer. In Ephesians 4:11-13 we read, "It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
