FIRST COMMUNION CLASS
Welcome to the Lord's Table!
In Holy Communion, God refreshes the incredible relationship that He initiates with us at our Baptism.

At St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sixth Graders (ages 10 - 12) are invited to participate in Holy Communion preparation during the season of Lent.  This 6-week instructional program leads to the child's full participation in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

First Communion instruction is lead by our Pastors and Lay Leaders of St. Paul's.  Students will meet with parent(s)/Guardian during the Sunday School hour (9:10 a.m. - 10:20 a.m.) each Sunday morning in preparation for the sacrament.  First Communion will be given on Maundy Thursday at a special Rite of 1st Communion.

CONFIRMATION CLASS 
Confirmation is an educational and pastoral ministry of our church designed to help all baptized members grow in their faith.  Confirmation begins at baptism and lasts a lifetime.  Public affirmation of baptism in the rite of confirmation marks the entry of the confirmand into full confirmed membership in the congregation.

From the beginning of Seventh Grade until the spring of the Eighth Grade year.  Confirmands will explore the meaning of Christian faith in classes, fellowship activities and service projects.  Special emphasis is given to the Bible, Martin Luther's Small Catechism, the Lutheran Church, worship, faith, and how all these relate to God's Word.

Confirmation instruction classes are offered every Monday at 3:30 p.m. -  4:45 p.m. and again at 7:00 p.m. -  8:15 p.m.  Classes begin on Monday, September 15, 2008.  The Rite of Confirmation is tentatively schedule for Sunday, April 19, 2008 at 10:30 a.m.

Parent Information Meeting
Parents and Students are encouraged to attend the Parents Information Meeting on Monday, September 8, 2008, to receive information for the 2008 - 2009 program, the expectations, and requirements.  Confirmation materials will be distributed and our teaching staff will be introduced.  Students begin study on Monday, September 15, 2008.
